Unhappy Throwing up

Yesterday Lucy threw up 3 times. I am hoping it is a one day thing. The first time I let her eat it back up. Since it was mostly undigested breakfast. The next 2 times she was uninterrested in it. So we cleaned it up. I have been trying to remember, is it canned pumpkin or honey to settle stomachs? I hope it is the honey. She doesn't like any vegetable except potatoes.
Lucy is drinking plenty of water.

Gee I hope it's just a one day thing too!
I don't think it was either one - I think pumpkin is good to help with firming up the stool. To settle the stomach I think boiled chicken and rice works, although I wouldn't give her anything at all for at least a few hours in case she upchucks it again.

Poor Lucy! I agree with Skunk - a bland diet is best for upset tummies. And of course if the vomiting continues, she should go to the vet. Keep us posted!!

My husband gave her some chicken last night and she hasn't thrown up at all today. Only 1 poop but that's probably because she doesn't have much in her now. Looked like she tried to poop and was looking for a spot and never found one or didn't have any thing. I just washed her tooth brush, water bowl, and food bowl too. I will feed her lunch in parts while I am eating mine.

Thank you!

When my parents dog was throwing up a lot the vet actually recommended not feeding the dog for that day, just make sure they have lots of water available...

Techie That's good advice just for 24 hrs starve the dog but make sure there is plenty of fresh water for her. Another favourite is scrambled eggs to ehlp a bad stomach but if persists get Lucy off to the vets. Hope Lucy is better soon. ATB

Lucy had nothing but rice and chicken yesterday and will today also. We didn't give her the glucosamine this morning. She had 1 poop on her early morning walk.
She will just have chicken and rice today too.
My husband needs to get her an anal gland appointment again soon.
We wil see how today goes. Scrambled eggs. Thanks for the tip Bigboy.
We will get her to the vet if this doesn't clear up by this evening.
So far no throw ups today. Cross your fingers.

No more throwing up today. Normal but smaller poops. No kibble at all! Not even for being a good dog!
